1. Home Alone: Family Fun Edition (1990)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: My lack of affection for Home Alone prevents a strong thumbs-up for it, but I can definitely endorse this DVD for fans. It offers a great improvement over the prior release. It’s the one for new purchasers to get and it would be a fine double-dip for those who own the original DVD. Starring Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci. Fox, $19.98, 11/21/2006.

2. Home Alone [Blu-Ray] (1990)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Home Alone didn’t do much for me in 1990 and that hasn’t changed over the years. I can’t deny that it has a few charms - mainly via some solid performances - but as a whole it seems inane and excessively mean-spirited. The Blu-ray offers very good along with erratic but generally positive picture and some extras highlighted by a lot of deleted scenes and

3. Home Alone (1990)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While I didn’t like Home Alone, I won’t call it a terrible movie. However, it was a somewhat uninspired offering that earned its popularity via a few harsh slapstick scenes. Starring Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci. Fox, $29.98, 10/5/1999.

4. Saved! (2004)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: One might expect a barbed and lively satirical tale from Saved!, and the movie occasionally musters some dark energy. For the most part, though, it comes across as little more than a standard, predictable teen “coming of age” story without much cleverness or intrigue. Starring Jena Malone, Mandy Moore. MGM, $26.98, 10/5/2004.

6. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (25th Anniversary Edition) [Blu-Ray] (1992)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While the first film wasn’t very funny, at least it seemed original. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York suffers from a similar lack of laughs and also falters due to its absence of creative energy. Starring Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci. Fox, $16.99, 10/3/2017.

8. Panic Room: Superbit Edition (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Panic Room didn’t feature director David Fincher at his best, but the movie kept me interested most of the time.

9. Mrs. Doubtfire (1993)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although I remain not overly fond of Mrs. Doubtfire, it's hard not to recommend this DVD. The film isn't a classic, but it's still pretty entertaining and it holds up to repeated viewings very nicely. The image seems mediocre, but sound is pretty good and the supplements are entertaining. Due to the lackluster visuals, I can’t call this a great DVD, but

10. Mrs. Doubtfire [Blu-Ray] (1993)
